Parent and baby
Portraits – baby and child:
Parents often take thousands of photographs of their children, but how do you best use your camera to create beautiful and dynamic images. We will look at camera skills and techniques but also explore creative ways of seeing your child through the camera lens. We will answer such questions as: How do I capture my child’s unique spirit and personality? What viewpoints and compositions work best? How do I cope with their speed of movement? You will come away from the session with a better understanding of what your camera can do, and also of what you yourself can achieve with your newly found creative confidence.
Out and about landscape:
These baby friendly workshops allow parents to explore our photogenic London landscape, while learning new photography skills. It can be difficult for parents to get out and break away from the baby routine, but this workshop provides a flexible session where crying, changing and feeding breaks are expected! We will look at basic camera skills and techniques and then head out to capture our dynamic capital city in all its variations. At the end of the session you will have a greater understanding of how to best use your camera to create stunning pictures of the unique and diverse landscape we are lucky enough to call home.
Wednesdays – 2 and half hours - morning and afternoon sessions available.
Meeting point at Pavilion café, Victoria Park
Equipment required: The technical component will be secondary to the more creative applications of composition and viewpoint, therefore any type of camera can be used. However, depending on the overall group level we may touch upon more technical aspects of photography, where a more advanced (Bridge or SLR) camera would be most useful. You can contact me with any questions you may have about this.
Cost: £35 per adult per session
Max of 5 adults per group.
